About Art for a Cause

Art for a Cause is a group of artists helping to raise funds for a local nonprofit. The artists and non-profit host an art event together, a wide spectrum of community members is invited, and artists donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their art to the non-profit.

Art for a Cause serves the needs of artists

The hosting nonprofit publicizes the art event to their supporters, many of whom will not yet be involved in the local art scene. Thus, the event will expand community awareness of and support for local art in general, and the work of the participating artists in particular. Participating artists receive exposure and mailing lists grow as a result of the collaboration. In addition, to having art for view and sale, artists can conduct art demonstrations as part of the gala event, and so help the public better understand what artists do and how.

Perhaps most importantly, artists have the satisfaction of knowing that our works of art benefit a worthwhile non-profit. And hopefully, artists will sell some art and generate some income!
